One of the annual events we will be undertaking will be the Global H2O Art Competition. We hope all artists or aspiring artists will be encouraged to take part.

Rules:
…1. All forms of art are welcome in the competition. (Music, Dance, Paintings & Sketches, Video, etc)

2. The art must have some motif to do with the water and sanitation crisis—not just a title that has water in it.

3. The artist is donating the art and the rights to Global H2O for corporate use or auction, with no guarantee of compensation.

4. All entries will be mailed to either:

No emails of art will be accepted. They must be accompanied by an explanation from the artist as well as letter explaining donation value. 

5. The deadline for consideration will be November 1, 2011

6. All art will be put on the Global H2O web site with recognition of the artist. It will remain there for 1 year. Photos of visual art. Recordings of music. Video of movies.

7. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be assigned based on the votes of The Executive Committee.

8. Prizes will be awarded as % of revenues from auctioning of art work online.

1st Prize: 40% of funds received from auctions, Global H2O Tshirt, and recognition on the next project sign

2nd Prize: 15% of funds received from auctions, Global H2O Tshirt

3rd Prize: 5% of funds received from auctions, Global H2O Tshirt

All three pieces will be kept at our headquarters, and will not be sold for at least 1 year.

9. All entries will receive a receipt of donation value based on material costs and time costs for tax purposes.

10. Global H2O reserves the right to disqualify an entry for whatever reason. Global H2O reserves the right to declare a winner without explanation.

It is important that the art have a motif that deals with the water and sanitation crisis.
