Constantin Bisanz- Crossing the Bering Strait by Kite Board

Help us provide access to clean drinking water for more people with Global H2O – while we are taking part in the Maurice Lacroix Bering Strait Expedition, making history by being the first to ever cross from North America to Asia by kite board – and thereby connect continents!

Together with my companions Geza and Andre, we will have to cover a distance over 100 km – which means six to eight hours kite surfing in extreme conditions. However, our adventure began before the crossing, with several weeks of preparation and daily training.

Only those who are physically and mentally fit have a chance to overcome the wild waters of the Bering Strait with temperatures of 2 – 3°C. To succeed, we have to become part of the ocean. In Alaska, we will have five weeks time to find the ideal weather conditions for the crossing before the fall storms come in and the Bering Strait freezes over again.

Water is my element – I couldn’t live my passion, kite boarding, without it. It makes me feel alive. But at the same time it feels strange to be surrounded by tons of water in the ocean while there are people in Africa who die of thirst. That is why I am supporting Global H2O: Because they give clean water to those who need it. So please help me raise money to provide schools and communities in Uganda with clean drinking water.

Its a simple problem with a simple solution. For less than $20, we can provide water to one person for life. For $150 we can support an entire family for life. So I ask you to join me in the fight to end the water crisis.
